Peterbaron, I don't know what to say. I've always looked up to you....

Peking, I've committed far worse vehicular transgressions of transmogrification. I've used Yamalube in Hondas. Once I sewed BMW patches onto a Joe Rocket brand jacket. I was set upon by a gang of purists at a group ride. The Roundels were stripped from my shoulders in a most unceremonious fashion.
None of my three CB 1100's have RLET's and the Forum makes me feel less of a man without them . Having my prostate removed earlier this year is nothing compared with not having RLET's with regards to my manhood.

I've never heard or RLETs either, but a trick I used for changing handgrips (which would also work for RLETs) is use gel hand sanitizer.

To remove grips, I use a plastic trim tool to open an end, put a glob of hand sanitizer in the opening and push it in with the trim tool. Working it around, the grip instantly loses its hold on the bar, then I do the other side, and boom, it slides right off. Install is a cinch, just a little more hand sanitizer, and the best part is it evaporates and dries pretty fast and the grips are tight. Oh, and its cheap AF and smells good. Thumbs Up
