I am considering going completely black and thus replacing my stock chrome exhaust pipes by a black aftermarket system. These tend to be expensive so the 2 more or less affordable & good quality options are the Yoshimura and the Moriwaki pipes.

Yoshimura
They look completely identical. They also cost the same (at Samurider). However, I am not sure if they also sound the same. I cannot find a direct-comparison video for the CB1100. And different Youtube videos use different recording equipment. Is there anybody on the forum who has done or heard a direct comparison?
On the above picture you can see that the bike with the Yoshimura exhaust has no center stand. I am not sure if that is because of the exhaust pipe...
Any other differences I should be aware of?
I bought the Moriwaki 4 into 4 and all I can say that is was extremely well build and fitted perfectly.
I have yoshimura titanium 4 into 1 and I absolutely love it, but that’s a different beast than the black steel. Yoshimura 4-1 exhaust systems come with a bracket for keeping the center stand. Not sure why it’s not shown.
Great question! I am interested in one of them also and want to keep my center stand. Although I have looked at the stainless options and some are really reasonable, I think I want to get an all black one from Japan. Or at least Japanese origins.
Look forward to the responses.
I have the full Yosh black system on my 2013. Still have centerstand on bike. Easy install.
Looks and sounds wonderful.
I also have the full Yoshimura system on my bike. I LOVE IT! When I first started the bike with it I thought... that is it! Not very loud at all not even close to what I expected from it. But after the initial shock wore off I have learned to love the sound. Actually it is just right. Not too loud and not to quiet. If you install it you will not regret it. You also get to keep the Center Stand which I feel is a must have item on my bikes it it was fitted with it. Plus way back when the Honda CB750 came out it was Yoshimura that made the pipes. it would be sacrilegious to use anything else right. LOL!

Thanks guys!! That's what I wanted to know!

That is a good sound indeed. But the bike in that video has its centre stand removed... So I am now again a bit confused if that is really necessary or not.
Some guys just like the weight reduction of losing the center stand. There are enough guys on this forum that have the pipes that will tell you it will work
