Very nice Suhawk
(12-17-2019, 09:24 AM)suhawk305_imp Wrote: [ -> ]Thanks all. I was tempted to have my pipes Jet-Hot coated for a while, but then I saw mtneer's coated pipes at the WV Rally this past summer. No more temptation, I had to have it done to my pipes. Thanks mtneers!

Looks great Mike! [Image: 169758ece5623bf6bc17dbb48d3c9bc0.png] Post a pic when you get them installed!

Your results have awoken the beast again.

PB...I had mine coated over a year ago. They are aftermarket (originally chrome) but had “blued”. I had Jet Hot treat the 4 headers and crossover. They have not turned and clean easily with Mother’s Mag and Aluminum Polish. Lifetime guarantee.
Pics are “before” and “after”.

Yes... pics posted in reverse order[Image: 810163e20f7947e8f126fee6484ff6a6.png]. Not sure if Jet-Hot will add blue/discoloration/streaks to pipes.[Image: 135cad31f6497a0bfdb971db6759c794.png]

That's what I meant: Did they return your calls/emails? If so, can you share a quote and any other preconditions for their work? Some customer reviews appeared underwhelming and I was hoping they were exceptions only. I am interested in your experience (so far).

I will update when have some more info,,,
They look great Mike! Now you're tempting me to get mine done. I'm going to spend some down time polishing mine soon and if they don't come out the way I want them without too much effort I just might make the leap.

BTW that UPS store blatantly ripped you off. Those are franchises, not company owned and you should have been able to insure them as they were originally boxed. I would contact UPS corporate and report them.

That's great PB.

Meanwhile, a firm in the "deep south" Ontario indicated $255 Cdn + tax for similar results as suhawk's. Includes:

* Acid soaking of pipes
* Treatment of header pipes inside and outside surfaces
* Treatment of the exterior of muffler box only (attached at the end of the header pipes)

There are 10 process steps that take about 12 hours to do. Interior pipe treatment is a 2000 degree F coating. The final "chrome-like" product will not tarnish or blue.
