I also prefer the 5 speed of my 2013 over the 6 speed of my 2014 and 2017.
I had a 2013 std 5 speed and a 2014 dlx 6 speed, and much prefer the relaxed engine characteristics of the 6 speed
Ah ... the joys of choice.

Go up 2 teeth on the rear of the 6-speed. It's awesome..
The 6th gear is like an amplifier with a volume control that goes to "11"
Don't forget the five speed is faster 0-60 as well.
I use the CB as a city/local bike, and the BMW as a touring/distance bike. I don't have any problems with vibration, but when I swapped out the mirrors, from bar-end to standard, I installed a bar weight on the right side, but not the left, to see if I could detect any difference. Not a bit, but, I always wrap the grips on every bike I've owned in foam bicycle tape to get a little extra girth and a softer surface.
The vibes on my '13 (5-speed) were really bad. My hands would go numb after a couple of hours at 65mph+, and that's with grip puppies. One of the reasons I sold the CB.
