Greetings fellow 1100 owners. Anyone know from experience (not speculation or conjecture) whether an OEM 2017RS CB1100 seat will fit on a 2014 CB1100 without modification?

From what I've read on these pages I think the later seat is not compatible with the earlier bikes, this is backed up with the seats I've seen on Webike in Japan as they always say the same thing.
Obviously you could probably make one fit the other but until someone on here posts what that entails?...

I can’t say for sure, but there is a post from Houtman who had 2013, 2014 and 2017 CB1100s and who reported that his Corbin seats from 2013 and 2014 fit the 2017. That has to make me wonder whether the seats are much the same. See,

An RS was not involved.
The only difference I know of- other than seat shape and height- is angle / fitment to look nice at the tank area...
But yea- I think it will 'fit'...as far as mount on the bike and ride it.
