I don't know the shape and dimensions of the quick-disconnect mount for the box, but I assume it approximates the shape of the rack. You have a rack, a box , and it's mounting plate.
The problem is the mounting plate holes do not align with the holes on your rack. Is there any way to drill holes into the mounting plate that will align?
Can anyone provide a picture of their mounting plate on the rack without the box?
At the very worst, you would have to make an interim mounting plate, that bolts to your rack, and has holes in the right place for the trunk mounting plate.
If the key lock assm is not assembled yet and you have the kit for it, it is very east to set up. We have the instructions (translated to English) with pics on the board.
Most [universal] adapter plates come with clamp parts that allows the owner to bypass rack hole alignment (or some of them) and simply clamp down the plate with provided bolts and nylon lined nuts. The top box then just klinks and unklinks to the adapter plate.

Thanks, but I tried everything. The holes in the mounting plate end up over some part of the rack, no matter how you turn it. Easier to just use the universal mounting kit. Not as pretty, but, like the box, it is functional.
Thanks for the key instructions, ill try that this weekend. I have the proper rack and mounting bracket also and still don't know how to install it. Anyone have mounting instructions for the bracket? Thanks!
