Nothing bad, it flashes at a normal rate and won't wear out. but no delay like OLD bikes have when you 1st hit the switch. On some of my older bikes with weak charging, the flashers can slow down with lack of amperage from charging fromt he old systems at idle.. my RDs come to mind... so this is a common fix. I do have an LED headlight in this though, so i'm not a complete luddite. lol.

I remember that on the RD400! I recall it being quite annoying.

Nice bike M, I have a 1981 KZ440 LTD that i want the take out and rebuild again this year for fun. Real easy bikes to work on.

I want to find different carbs that will bolt on without having to modify. Preferably Mikuni. I found the factory Keihn carbs to always be s bit finicky no matter how many times I rebuilt or replaced.

I eliminated the turn signals all together on that bike because signals were not mandatory until 1985.

When I redid the bike for my lady a few years ago I grabbed some aftermarket incandescent turn signals to put back on for added safety. I think I had to change put the factory flasher relay also with one I grabbed from an autozone and I just had to cut off a pin if memory serves.

For future LED converts, if anyone is wondering about the Posh relay with the part number of 090015-W1 and its relation to the -WR part, and I can confirm via Ruth from Webike that the -W1 is an updated version to -WR, with the difference being it is rated at 40W now vs. 100W.
