Since I installed the oil cooler guard, it appears to have formed an even tighter seal around the oil cooler. I suspect heat and the passive pressure of the wind may have something to do with it.
The insulation has remained in place and the mounting is also nice and tight. I was a little skeptical about the cable ties that shipped with it, but so far they have worked very well.
