BMW is barking up the wrong tree. The bagger market is saturated already. Bagger fans won't want a BMW. Besides, who wants a bike made of wood?

Too elongated for my taste, but the wood accents are attractive.

Gentlemen. My mother and father always told me to speak the truth. Pure stupid. Comes to mind with other strong language I learned in the military! If I want a Victory, I will go buy one. BMW needs to set realistic market expectations, and get back to basics.

Proves that the Germans have a sense of humor when it comes to Americans. One time I was in a museum of natural history in Munich. After touring the continents of Eurasia and Africa, I came to a hall titled "North America" and entered. The first display I saw was a diorama of a western US desert, very detailed...it even had a roadrunner darting among the cactus. And right in the middle was a plastic Jeep being driven by the stuffed figures of Mikey and Minnie Mouse, blasting their way over the natural landscape.

Back to the bike: not a fan of the originals, so not a fan of the imitation no matter how well-executed. The wood paneling is the motorcycle equivalent of the Griswold Family Truckster.



Even without the wood...I think BMW needs to focus on being the non-cruiser company. Yes it's a huge market but, if you want to enter it properly, do like Polaris and start a new brand with its own marketing and dealer network.

the actual designer of the bike was Roland Sands (not a German national).
it makes more sense that someone 'culturally American' would have even thought of a 'Woody' bike.

I think he took their money and left with his usual design elements. No wonder it looks like a Victory! It is immoral not to part a fool from his money.

I wonder if that's what my dealer thought of me, after I gave the go ahead to order me an NM4 !
