Kawi wanted to make a statement with this design and will sell them to a small market and collectors. The bike is different and very well designed. If i had 25K to throw away one would be in my garage.

Have you been to a Harley or BMW dealer lately? Guys are paying $25k and more for those bikes every day. Ducati has a few in that range as well. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have seen this come out at, say, 20% more than a ZX 1000RR, but compared to a Confederate, Motus, or some other niche bikes, $25 large isn't that much.

I should have used the word TARGETED general public. You won't see many 40+ going after this bike leaving the other half of the crowd unable to offered it or smart enough not to buy it with small children to raise, but i do have caskets available for those pre-need sales.
$25K is a bargain for that slice of engineering master piece tech showcase!!!!

Hand built, I could have seen them asking $75K or so...
It goes well, apparently—http://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/top-speed-test-kawasaki-h2r-vs-supercars
