I can appreciate the Gold Wings for everything they are now (though not my style), but these first bikes were very cool. I wish they still offered something stripped down and basic like this...maybe even with a 4.

They do, the F6B.
F6b has a fairing and bags. Not naked.
Compared to the standard Goldwing... pretty darn close. But, you're correct, Mr F.
Closest thing now is the Valkrie. I worked at a Honda/Harley shop in high school and college wrenching and setting up tons of bikes. I still remember when the very first Goldwing came in... couldn't wait to put it together and take it for a spin!! It took two strong guys to muscle them out of those wooden crates they had back then.
