Finally had a confirmed sighting in the wild and got to talk to the owner!

I was leading my Meetup ride today and we decided to stop at a local dealer, Montgomeryville Cycle Center. One of our riders rides a BMW that leaks antifreeze and wanted to top it off. So we’re outside talking and what pulls up right in front of us but a 14 standard. The guy gets off and starts walking in never even taking off his helmet as I say “Hey, nice bike!”. He never breaks stride so I figure ok, he doesn’t want to talk. A little while later another guy comes out and asks me “You like the bike?”. Turns out he was the owner and the other guy was a mechanic who had just test rode it. We got to chat for a few minutes and I told him about the forum so hopefully we’ll see him here. Very nice guy.

But as I’m leaving the head mechanic Dan comes out and tells me they’re still selling leftovers, had just sold one the other day. He said that Honda still has them warehoused and every once in a while they are able to get some at a price that works for them!

And because I know what PB would say..

That's always a good feeling when you seen another CB1100 riding around.

I know what you both want me to say ... but I really can't this time, because I don't know what is written here and I can't see the photo because I left my glasses at work ... but for sure, I smell gas leak

Next time PD! Join my Meetup. We ride up in your area frequently and can meet you mid ride if need be. I’ve got some friends up by the Delaware Water Gap that do the same.

I've only seen one other CB myself, and it was a '14 Standard as well. It was on the road, so we were just able to share a quick wave.

I have one just like it, think its the best looking CB there is.
