I had a 1981 a dozen years ago. Any year CBX is the sexiest bike ever! It cost me $4500, I minted it out and rode it for 4 years and sold it to the president of the CBX club for $7000.
What did you pay? What's the market like now?
A guy at work flagged me down the other morning at work after I pulled up in front of the building on the CB. He had trying to figure out who it was that owned the CB1100. He liked the look of the bike and wanted to know what i thought of it. I could have gone on for a while, but he had to get to a meeting. Anyway, it turns out that he had owned a Honda in the past - as you might have guessed: a CBX.
OK, I hate carbs now and I'm down to just one.

Smoothest bike I've ever ridden. It's on a short list of (70s/80s) bikes I would select if I ever decide to restore something.
