Hmm... One of the commenters at the end of the article said that they didn't know if they could resist this bike if it comes out. That makes two of us.
I'd have to see this up close to be know if I liked it or not. The magazine cover version lower in the article has some iffy design elements (exhaust, license plate bracket, no engine fins) that leave me a little underwhelmed. I'm sure the power would be great and it might weigh a little less than the CB.
The top pic looks great but the bottom one looks worse than Yamaha's XSR900.. I think they should have made an aircooled bike that looked like their old z1000J.
It looks OK, but I'll be keeping the CB.
Would love to see it, wouldn't replace the CB1100 with it but if Suzuki would do a retro GS1000s all bets are off Smile
Radial brakes, upsidedown forks, monoshock......and look at those pipes - oh man. It may be heresy to say around here, but I think I'm in love. Again. Don't tell my CB1100.
that one has been around for a bit with the promise of 2 versions
one supercharged or just more perf and one more retro
i believe the to photo is or may be the supercharged or faster and the other will be air cooled like ours and more standard
Love to see these hit the market place. it would bode well for those of us that like retro standards.
Some more padding in the seat and ditch the battlestar galactica mufflers and I might consider it but i still prefer the one I have.
