I agree. At 454 - 465 pounds it would be a handful in the dirt - if it ever saw dirt.
Probably quite nice as a street scrambler though.
The Honda 'scramblers' of our youth were street bikes with virtually nothing but high pipes, and were awful off road. Scramblers were always road bikes with modest dirt road pretense. Enduros, however, were the opposite. Off-road bikes with concessions for on road use. Semantics, perhaps, but...
At least they are making motorcycles I can relate to again!

Thats true Capo. I guess since I worked in a Yamaha shop during the 70s scrambler to me means dirt capable or enduro. Funny thing is my first " big" Honda was a CL77 in 1968 ..a 305 "Scrambler" that I actually took off road lol.

Point taken... I'd not want to take the "scrambler" variants of Triumph, BMW (RNineT), or Ducati on anything off-road other than well groomed dirt roads and only then, if I needed to vs. sought it out. Scrambler as a sub-brand was an interesting choice by Ducati, though it's been a commercial success. I personally feel they should have launched that line of bikes under a different brand name vs. Scrambler. Especially given they have the Scrambler Cafe Racer spec, etc.

never seen a twin rev that high before but if i ever dropped that bike in the sand down here i would never get it back up just like the Africa Twin
agree Scramblers are not like i grew up with but some of the XL's were really nice . 500S was my favorite
