I'm not especially fond of the styling but I'm probably not the intended customer. Interesting how they adopted the R1200GS / Ducati Scrambler rear "fender."
It reminds me a bit of the Vitpilen 701 as well.
What I see is a bike that apparently is a whole lot faster and capable at the extreme sporting end than the CB1100 but a lot less practical in real world riding. Adorned with a number of styling cues that I wouldn't be able to get past. I do like the wheels though. As Long Ranger stated previous to my post I'm probably not the target demographic they're going after either.
I’m betting the similarly-styled 2019 CB300R will be a hot seller in the US. Apparently it’s doing very well in Europe.
I like the look. I guess there are some similarities between it and some other bikes, but it’s a pretty distinctive look and one that appeals to me. I’m going to send pics of this and the 300 to my 24yo son and see what he thinks of the styling. As a few others have said, Honda doesn’t really care if it appeals to the dad-bod set

Which is putting it politely, for the majority of this forum.
Me too ... but if it looked like this one then I'd be lining up to buy it.
