Everybody just expects a modern 4 stroke 1100 cc to put out between 110 and 120 hp whether it has 2, 3 or 4 cylinders.
Expectations these days. Some do, some don't.
The new Kawasaki RS with it's 900cc 4 cyl puts out about 98 rwhp.
The 900 Yamaha triple puts down about 105 to the rear wheel with it's 900cc displacement.
The 998CC KTM made 120 rwhp out of it's twin motor
and the 1200cc KTM Adv (100cc advantage) weighs 520 lbs fully gassed with 6.1 gals and puts out over 130 rwhp, and it's also a twin
just depends on how the engineers design them I guess.

The Scrambler doesn't do a thing for me.
I tried it earlier in the year, and absolutely loved it! I liked the original 800 Scrambler, but this one is so much more. While the original feels a bit like a toy, this one was a proper bike. Yes, it does feel more powerful than the CB due to the much lower weight and just the way the Ducati twin delivers the power.
The CB still looks much better in my mind, and I have grown too attached to it to change. So, if I ever decide to get a second bike I would very much consider one of these.
It's the delivery of the power, versus the raw numbers, and in this kind of bike, torque is the key. I've never fully warmed to the Scrambler's looks, but the 1100 Evo motor is an absolute gem, and this iteration of the Scrambler is far more complete than the 800. I think with some personalization, this could be a great all around machine, not unlike the CB, but a different take. Of note, over 100 accessories available upon launch from Ducati. And a complete marketing campaign.
I've never ridden a Ducati that liked to run below 4000 rpms. Wonder if this has the nice torque roll at 2500-3500 that the CB has?
