I believe it. About 15 years ago I met a guy who had a brand new '73 Kawasski Z1 still in the original shipping crate. It wasn't for sale.
It's only been 14 years so far, but my '04 CB50R has never been started, has never had gas in the tank, and has never been sat on. I'll give it another 10-15 years and then see if it's worth anything.
Amazing! I remember that bike. My buddy got one just like it in '74. It was the first real street bike I ever rode.
I can't imagine buying one brand new and resisting the temptation to ride it.
Like a 44 year old virgin...........
