PB: One week is pretty well at the limit - yes.

I was actually serious and suggested leaving the fuse out. But, I suppose people have their own ways of coping with things. But yes, the former Honda G-Wing owner would probably let the bike go if it weren't a gift from someone now gone.

It appeared so.

Vrod also suffers a flaw that in order to do a valve inspection the engine needs to be dropped. Or I recall reading that somewhere. You see a lot of them for sale right around that first inspection mileage. There is a dealership in Hamilton that used to be HD and is now a parts/service/used bike shop that has quite a few NOS V-Rods in stock.

Always seems with power comes complexity.

I'm pretty sure the CB is more powerful than the V-Rod.......

Harley did have a few concept bikes in the works under AMF, the V-4 Nova most notable. Thier recent efforts to draw new customers, The Street 500 and 750, are unimpressive ans expensive.

VRod claimed output 115-125 HP at crank. Approx 103 HP at rear wheel. Torque is claimed at 84/72 at crank and rear wheel respectively. Weight is anywhere from 611-660 ish.

The worst ergo's of any bike I ever sat. I wonder at how they sold any of them.

HD did make a version that resembled a UJM for a short time. Way better looking than the standard V-rod but not a seller.

HD V-Rod puts out more raw power compared to the CB. But as with any bike comparison, a fair amount of performance can be attributed to how the power is modulated with the conditions ... sans top speed. It could be an experienced racer can make reasonable "lesser" bikes perform well against the rod.

Does someone likes to ride a 'racing contest' with the CB against another motorbike like the V-Rod to find out how it will suck or rock?

Never rode or will ride one of my bikes this way. I'm happy with how they perform and run the way they do without any comparison. In a world full of competition.
