A good friend of mine is a friend of the owner of this bike, Don. I have met Don, great guy and a very serious motorcycle enthusiast and collector. Don retired from a career in the automotive industry I believe and now he works at the Indian dealer for fun. He is an active member of the [url=https://vjmc.org]Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club of North America, Cincinnati chapter, where I believe he is a show judge. He is the type of meticulous collector who built display areas for his vintage motorcycles in the basement of his home. It looks like a museum.

Hard to believe that Hawk is already 30 years-old.
Don't let Guth see this.
OK. I’ll ban him for a while. Big Grin
When I returned to riding in 1992 it was on a 1989 Honda Hawk.
It was still new in the crate in the Honda warehouse and they were clearing them out for $3,800.00 so I leaped at the chance to get one.
I had it for ten years and it gave me lots of great memories.

I sold it in 2002 and bought the CB900F, but as good as it is, I never felt the same love for it as I did the Hawk.
I wish I had kept it now as I didn't have to sell one to get another, it was mostly a matter of space.
That said, I bought the 1100 and found space for it Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
