Yeah, there are/were plenty of worse bikes for that. My old 900SS pretty much was just asking for it. I ended up mounting it higher Monster-style.

When the front fender is too small, I hate the way road grit sandblasts the undercarriage, not to mention blasting muddy water (or watery mud) into every nook and cranny. The paint on the sump and center stand on my BMW F-bike were completely blasted away. I had to clean and treat the metal and re-paint them prior to selling it.

Gawd I still do love that RS though. I think it's better looking than the original. Maybe someday I'll pick up a used one.

I do like the Honda concept bike though... I would prefer it with classic gauges rather than the TFT dash.

I honestly don’t see much resemblance between a SOHC CB750 and a CB1100. But I like them both.

I think, in this case, you need the through line from the 750 to the 1100, which would include the CB 900 and CB1000. The designers went back to them all for ideas, so the A/B comparison leaves out the way things (like the fuel tank) evolved.

I think that Honda's strategy of using the classic Freddie Spenser theme on the same exact platform(current Neo-sports CB1000R) will accomplish 2 things:
1. Increase unit sale #s due to popularity among both vintage Honda and AMA fans
2. Gain over alot of anti-mono-shockers in the "UJM classic" crowd


Wonder when this thing will make it to US showroom floors? 2022 model year?
