I have mentioned this in other threads, but you might try a foam bleacher pad. I bought a black one so that it would blend in and strapped it to the seat, and it made a world of difference. The pad was only $6 and it took the strain off knees and hips for me. When I do long trips of say several hundred miles, then I add another pad. It makes it easier on the rear as well. When I try to ride w/out any pads, I immediately feel cramped and the tightness returns after a short ride.

Or buy that Scrambler! That is sweet looking bike, Richard. I must try one some day.

John, does Jackie have access to the CB1100 Forum?

I'm almost 6', but more importantly, have a 36"+ inseam. I need a taller seat and lowered pegs. Done.

Also added a Sit & Fly ventilated seat cover I bought from a forum member. Adds a fraction of an inch of height and some cushion - and it eliminates monkey butt.

Having moved a Griso on down the road for several reasons - major one being my fitment on the bike I certainly understand. There are too many good bikes out there to not find one that fits you.

Rode the CB 500x tonight. I do think the ergos are a bit more relaxed than the CB, but not a lot. So I checked cycle-ergos.com and the knee angle on the CB 1100 was 78, and on the CB 500x it's 86. The smaller the number the tighter the bend.

Can you put bags on the Scrambler?
