If I start to sell it is the one I will keep till last just so I can stare at it. I think it is just a beautiful looking bike. When I bought it I was on very good terms with the Dealer. I got a bunch of dealer only items with it plus the dealer posters.
When I road the CB1100 for the first time I felt the VFR had a lot more power and the Specs supported that. That is why I modified the CB1100. But I get off topic here.
I know this generation bike was not on your list. As I have gotten older the ergonomics are getting to me. The hands will tend to go numb and that is about it. If I take my wife for a ride for old times sakes the weight is a lot to handle on the back and hands but well worth the trip down memory lane. LOL!
I bought the VFR back in 86 because I loved Hondas even back then. It was also voted the best 750 Sportbike back then too I think. It also won the SuperBike race that year. I did not like the extreme racer feel of the Suzuki nor did I like the others offered that year. I fell in love with the looks and loved the fit for me. I will never regret getting it nor will I ever sell it.
This is great visegrip, appreciate you adding your story regardless of what I said above. Sounds like it’s been a great relationship spanning nearly 35 years!

If you are interested to see the bike and some of the goodies, use the link below for Photobucket. Yes I hate them but the pictures are still there and you can still access them too.
It has been a great 35 years with that bike and I hope another 35! LOL!

She’s a stunner ! Great looking machine visegrip. Admittedly, the 25th anniversary Red White and Blue VFR is one of the key reasons Im thinking sixth gen, as well as the oem matching luggage and the upswept exhaust. Clearly a throwback to your machine and a bit earlier.

How did I miss this thread? I've owned an 05 VFR800 for over 6 years now. Almost 40K miles of riding on her and she has been my favorite bike. She does everything well. Long trip, no problems. Fun night bomb around the city, check. Track day, sure why not. I love her. Also have owned an 04 RC51 over a year now. Wow what a machine. An experience like no other. The specs on paper do not do the riding experience justice. Power is there, handling is there, it's a glorious machine.
I love having the ideal trio of Honda V-twin, V-four and inline fours. I hope to get a VFR1200 soon. My VFR is going on 73k miles and is a bit beat up. I'll never get rid of her, but I will push her back from frontline status. The CB1100 and RC51 aren't as good at the 2 up riding I do often with my woman.
I liked my 2004 RC 51 Nicky Haydn Edition because of the polished aluminum frame , I think Canada always had the alu frames even in earlier years as I saw them at a Toronto MC show in the early 2000's .
Thanks for the responses guys. Sounds like i will just have to try to own both!
