Pretty nice looking bike, Redbirds! I’ve always liked those and the colors are great. If I remember, those have some nice storage where the gas tank normally is and even some oem hard bags you can add.

My wife sold her CB1100 last year and found a deal on a left over 2015 NC700 X. Riding her bike home from Jacksonville sold me on this model. Faux tank storage is amazing and the bike cruises easily at 80+ mph turning about the same revs as the '13 CB1100 at that speed. This is the first bike of this class I've ridden that I much prefer to the DL650 V-strom of which we've owned two.

I pretty much decided that one would be next two wheeler IF I decide to get another. Very glad to hear, ever so briefly, of your riding impressions. There is a leftover ‘18 at a nearby dealership......

I knew this dude named Ronnie, he worked at the 911 call center. He went by the nickname "Stone-Man". I just never ask why. Then one day I heard the he had missed several days of work. He life was certainly different because of them. But being close to someone that suffered with them make me afraid of them.

A little update on the new ride; the NC is a tall bike for an altitude challenged man like me so a lowering link kit was ordered from a company in the UK. The bike is now one inch lower and I'm able to get the balls of my feet on the ground when stopped. I lowered Sparky's NC a while back and noticed how much better her bike felt in low speed turns and turn in at speed after riding both bikes back to back. I'm very happy with the new ride but do miss looking at my beautiful CB1100 every time I walk through the garage. The friend who got the CB is bringing it by for an oil change. I'll enjoy doing maintenance on it.

The NC750X responded well at taking whatever abuse I threw at it. The only thing I didn't test was super sub-zero riding temperatures like I did on the CB1100.

Congrats Jim. I'm seriously considering trading my FJR in on a 2021 DCT model. They lowered them 1.2" for 2021 plus a host of other updates.
