if this is a duplicate thread, smack me! LOL!

but I have noticed there are quite a few brand new 0 miles 2016 & 2017 st1300 police bikes scattered about the country still at dealers. anyone know what's up with that? something wrong with them?
Nope nothing wrong with them other than Honda over produced. No rear passenger seat. Electrics are a little different for hooking up Police gear. They don't have a lot of modern ammenities that other sport tourers do these days, but good reliable engines/trans/rear ends etc.
They're still going strong in Huntington Beach, CA. Helps that there's a Honda dealership in town, of course.
Put an MCCRUISE cruise control on it and it’s awesome!
Put an arial and red and blue flashing lights on it and it’s a whole lot more fun.

Till they catch you.
^^ Clap>> if they ever will when you crank up the throttle BikerBikerBiker
I keep hearing from others every few weeks including this week that the ST1300 is a reliable steed. I stared a used one down in 2020, fighting the urge in the showroom.
Our Ferret racked up better than 100K miles on one before there rear brake went incandescent one day.
I believe it was his SMC (on the front fork) that went bad and locked the rear brake. That thing does need easily done maint. every now and then.

Yikes.

Is that a ST1300 trait (maybe the Ferret commented on that elsewhere), or something that could have happened on any ol' ride with over 100K mileage on it?
