You may have a point there.

Sadly, it could also mark the final breath of dino-burin' motorcycles as I suspect by then easy-swap batteries will be practical for long distance electric riding.
I hear Honda is to make an announcement on the 21st of October on this model.
Just a note on the CRV - we have a '17 and it is the best car I have ever had. No shifting problems whatsoever. Fast, corners and handles like a sports-car. Considering it has a 1500cc engine (with turbo) and is considerably heavier than my 1968 Beetle, which also had a 1500cc engine, and the Beetle did NOT have air conditioning. it could carry the Beetle strapped on top and still out accelerate the Beetle and get 33mpg all day running the air conditioner. I know, apples and oranges, but I am blown away by Honda's technology.

In a wave of technological ingenuity, Honda will save weight and environmental landfill issues by eliminating the electric starter and implement what they will call a "heel starter".

And as if by magic, not quite but nearly. My lads little CB125F has a combined starter motor/alternator which saved several kilos over the 2020 model.

Many dealers still have one or two of these. My dealer has the non-DCT version selling for $8999 ... Trying to convince my wife to let me buy it as 2nd bike Smile

It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
