Its funny...the CB1100 and the W800 Cafe are kindred spirits in that way. Whenever you pull up on one everybody wants to look at it, people point it out and whisper to eachother about it. People ask you questions about it. By all accounts its an eye catching and desirable bike. And yet....nobody bought them. The Motorcycle Market is strange.
Therein lies some of the machine's soul. It doesn't need to move, yet, still stirs the emotions.
I'm glad you took the leap to add another bike to the stable. It's just a perfect motor for the backroads we have here in our area. The power is very linear in feel similar to the CB. We'll have to meet up for coffee when I'm out on my W.
Well done, pdedse. Lovely bike, although I agree it may well be prettier without the cowl.
Congrats pdedse.
Agreed with Cormanus, without the cowl.......with windshield or naked would look better IMHO
Going to go the other way here and voice my love for that cowl. I think it is what makes the bike look “Café”. Looking at the lowered handles makes my back hurt though.
Great looking bike. Know you'll enjoy it. I bought the standard Blue after seeing a post on this forum a couple of months ago. I've logged about 900 miles so far. It's broken in now & rides better & better every time. I went ahead and bought a shop manual. They are so easy to work on. Kawasaki did a great job. Know I'll be riding this one for years.
I LOVE THESE. Underpowered but that's not why you buy a W. You buy a W because they're beautiful with that gigantic pushrod and stuff.

I would recommend slapping steel lines on the brakes. Helps tremendously.

And these with a nice exhaust? Music.. Utter music.. Did I tell you I love these Dubbyas? Heart

You are totally on top of it Rox.

I'd ride the W even if it had a flat tire. It would be such an honour.
for W experts, is it a 180 or a 270 crank?
