Picked up a new stablemate for My CB. Took delivery of it Feb 1. Weather has been terrible here, was only able to get out and ride it 40 mi. last weekend. Also got my CB out for first time in nearly 3 mo. First impression of that Z is great, a whole different animal from the CB. Hard to tell much in only 40 mi. but so far I think I am gonna like it. Been a bad winter here in Denver, not normally like this. my CB had not been started since before Thanksgiving, but managed to take it for a spin last weekend finally. Snow melted just in time to get more today. Sucks when you have shiny new bike in your garage and all you can do is go out there and wipe it down with a diaper every day.... but here it is. It is beautiful at least to my eye.
Very nice! Congrats.

In what way?
Ho boy, are you gonna have fun with that! Congratulations, nice bike!
^^ That ^^ one is certified beautiful.
Congrats, Doug!
Swweeeeettttt….

You are gonna love it. I just picked up a leftover new 2021 cafe model in Pearl Storm Grey. I would have picked a different color but the deal on it was too good to pass up.

I coming up on 600 miles, stock fueling is not as seamless as on the Honda but it’s understandable given it’s in a much higher state of tune. The fuel cutoff when closing the throttle is my main complaint so far as it makes for jerky throttle transitions and gear changes. Ivan does a reflash on the ECU that cleans up everything and gives a few extra ponies as well. As soon as I get thru the breakin period I plan to shop the ECU to him and install a cat less header.

Compared to the CB1100, it’s much lighter and quicker with better suspension and brakes along with wider wheels and sportbike rubber.
Oooh, that is pretty! That will definitely be fun once the roads are clean. Would not do for my commute... can't see putting luggage on that bike!
Lovely bike, Doug.
Solid Doug.

It's different all around. that CB is feels like a low rider compared to the Kawi. Kawi seat position is higher, CB feels like you are sitting in it instead of on it. Kawi has a bit more legroom which I like. One way to describe is Kawi feels more raw, I don't mean that in a bad way. More hot rod like. Transmission ratios are closer than on the CB. The Kawi has a better suspension, and ABS. Never had a bike with ABS before. The Kawi feels like it will be more fun in mountains than the CB. Will find out along about June. Now if the snow would melt I can get to know my cool new toy.
