The James Bond bike is now at its new home and is in the process of being fixed up slowly. The needed parts list on that keeps growing pretty quickly.
The Shadow on the other hand just got 4 new plugs, a new fuel filter, a new used airbox and lid (set me back $9.99 from EBay), new grips and throttle tube, hard bag latches, and some random small bolts and rubber bits that it was missing. I'm hoping that I'll have it all back together by next weekend so I can get some more pictures of it out and about. Strangely enough, 2 of the 4 plugs were barely hand tight and that fuel filter looked original, which makes me pretty excited to see how it'll run once all back together.
A flick or audio sample of the beast starting up would be nice for watching folks.

I am certainly not a fan of the most furious super-sports, but I also have a hard time to imagine
how such R1200C - as pretty as she is - will ride with 60 horses and over 550 pounds.
Like to know if your dad finds it easy to ride ??

One of those BMW's came up and parked next to me yesterday in cream. You don't see them too often.

They are a pretty rare sight on the road around here too. I found it has a decent mid range pull but it does feel slow at the top end. My dad seemed to feel that the seating position and height are good even if it's a little wide at the hips. He also mentioned that it kind of runs out of steam around 75mph. That could be due to some of the neglected maintenance we'll be working through tho.
Im going over to my parent's place today to look at a fluid leak under the clutch resivour (Probably just an overtight cap) I'll try and get a startup video of it. That video Gecko linked is pretty accurate. It also gets a good bit of sideways torque to the sides when reving in place. Probably common on all boxer engine setups.

Yes, it common to all the boxers. I had an R1100RT for a while and it did that.
