Cleaning a motorcycle is good for the bike AND you! A clean motorcycle is a SAFER motorcycle, and it keeps the machines value up. Plus its another way to "play" with it. Removing the seat, body panels, fuel tank will reveal all sorts of crud, dead bugs and sometimes mouse nests (which prefer the inside of airboxes, another area most people ignore most the time)! When cleaning your machine, you are closely inspecting components and properly removing slippery contaminants from areas that can cause hazards (tires, brake discs, pegs, mirrors, windscreens, etc). Parts can corrode thru time if neglected by allowing schmutz to buildup. Dirty pivot points wear faster. It's also a demonstration of the type of care you give it.
S100 works good, but is expensive. I use simple green, undiluted about $10.00 per gallon. Just spritz it on with a spray bottle and hose it right off. Then dry with a soft towel. Works great.
Lemon Pledge dows wonders ! Been using it for years. Cleans bugs & grime then polishes.
