Hello from Houston. Would someone mind looking at their owners manual and report back what the load carrying capacity of the bike is? Also, any notes on whether or not this includes fluids. Also, if one plans on carrying a passenger, do you typically change the pre-load on the springs? Thanks, in advance. Dave.
I often ride in excess of 50 lbs over GVWR with no problems encountered, although i take it very easy when doing so or get whacked by the wife.
I adjusted my pre-load by stiffening the rear end one notch tighter on the adjusters. I ride this way with wife or not because I am lazy and don't change it back. It improves the ride even with only one-up. When both are on, we top out at 315lbs. If my wife gains a pound that means I have to lose one. So I watch what she eats pretty closely.
Thanks for the quick responses. With my wife and some gear, it is easy to go over 349#.
Stretch - I had to look up avoirdupois and still can't use it in a sentence ...
