I know most guys opt for a flash when its available keeping the integrity of the ECU. Most also have multiple maps for different tracks as the have different elevations.
I am running a Staintune and a K&N air filter. I was going to have a custom map done, but I really don't think it will be that much different that the preloaded one from Dynojet.

The Staintune isn't a drastic departure from the stock muffler, and the K&N, well, I about s**t when I took the stock air filter out, I have never seen such a restictive unit. I was suprised the bike could get any air at all.
And I don't think this PCV for the CB has the timing function built in like others do, it only has the fuel .

installing the PCV does not change any functions of the ecu. All the sensors, except the O2, remain hooked up and continue to act on the ecu, except the O2 is replaced by resistors so that the ecu sees its input as a constant signal. I don't know what that constant signal is. The PCV doesn't prevent the ecu from doing anything it could do before. It adds or subtracts fuel from the injector signal after whatever map and trims the ecu is putting out. It does not lock in or change the ecu or anything that happens within the ecu. As well, anything the ecu cannot do before, it still cannot do after installing the PCV..... such as retard and advance timing for low and high octane gas.

Right, the computer won't do anything it didn't do before, but it uses the O2 sensor to set the fuel ratio based on the efficiency of the current burn. So, if you change altitudes regularly, the ECU can no longer compensate for thinner air, crappy gas, etc. The PCV basically puts the ECU into (virtual) open-loop mode all the time.
