Gee I kinda liked the Ninja 1000...I was thinking it would make a sporty alternative to the CB. I guess I'll have to figure something else out.

Those "egg-shaped" cylinders in your Honda, was that one of those NR500s? You should have kept that one, they're worth big bucks nowadays.

Alas, no Spaceman. Honda's cheap aluminium cylinders had worn egg-shaped, but the pistons were still perfectly round. I have one of them on my desk now; it's the perfect business card holder and reminder of that dispos-a-bike.
It was a very educational experience, but also very costly. Financially and emotionally. But when you pay that kind of tuition, you might as well pay attention.




Heh--and that little dog that spent all those nights in the garage with me is now 15 years old and has ridden more than 100,000 miles with me. (She's asleep on my desk too.)

You are not the Chris that rode all over the USA with said Pirsig? Or is that just an homage?

Pirsig's son Chris was killed at a pretty young age, stabbed to death outside the Zen center in San Francisco. Thankfully I'm a different Chris.

I've ridden all over the USA though, and many places with my Pa too. I bought him this Concours as a retirement present.
