G'day all, I've looked for advice here on removing the rear mudguard/fender but can't find anything. Can one of you who've done it tell me how to do it? I have the mechanical aptitude of a matchbox.

Mine did not come with mud flap. Did honda rip me off? Send me pic of yours! Looking at my rear fender I don't see no mounting holes.

It's super easy to remove the rear fender - just pull the seat, free up any wiring from the clips and undo 4 bolts! Be sure to unplug the tail light wiring from the harness under the tool bin or you won't be taking the fender very far.

I'm might of misunderstood him. I don't think he ment the rear fender but the mud flap that connects to the fender ? ! I saw them in a pic in a Honda ad. But he can tell us. Mine has just the rear chrome fender

Michael, sorry. In Australia we call the fender the mudguard. A mudflap is different again and I don't have one of them. I'm wanting to remove the fender. There's no mudflap on the Australian CBS, but we did get a half useful tool kit and the Honda security system that you missed out on.

Thanks CB4ME. I'll get on it in the next few days. I seem to recall getting the tool in out is a business as Honda found it necessary to use a screw and a funny plastic clip rather than two screws. Can't figure that one.

The clip. Just remove the screw and pull clip out by hand. To instal just push clip back in and push in screw with your finger

There is a "mudflap" for the front fender available from FendaExtenda. I put one on my bike.
