Does anyone know of a U.S. source for braided lines/banjoes (custom length)? I'm looking at a couple different bar/riser combinations, and stock won't work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
You will need to buy braided lines in pre-fabricated lengths from any of a number of suppliers.
Unfotunately there aren't enough CBs for US companies like Twisted Throttle to make kits as they do to accomodate GS or other high-volume bikes. For those bikes they make kits for the stock setup as well as with popular mods like risers.
For your mods you'll need to sort out the lengths you need and then order the closest fitting pre-fab hoses.
If you are mechanically inclined, you can make your own and I found it very simple and less than half the price. Several auto racing parts companies sell all the parts, like Earls. I used all Earls bits, the braided line and the fittings to make a new front brake line for my restored '73 Ducati 750GT. There are fittings available that do not need to be crimped, rather they screw together to clamp the brake line, sort of like regular metal brake line fittings. I could take a picture if anyone is interested. I bought all my bits from Behrent's Racing Supply in Florida, NY. They supply parts primarily for stock car racing but were very helpful.
