LOL Classic!

Cormanus, Can you even see the gear indicator in the sun? I can't. I'm playing with making some kind of sun shield for it. I know its pretty sunny in AUS. so how have you handled it?
Popgun, I can, although it is clearer in cloudy or lower light conditions.
I just put one of these GI Pro gear indicators on my '13. Just took a 70 mile ride with it and am pleased. I now ride with my senses and my brain and also with my gear indicator!!
I love mine. And no problems with it. Has never needed reset or anything. Just works.
Does the gear indicator eliminate the timing retard on these bikes?
I dont believe there is any timimg retarded on this bike there are limiters for both revs and top speed if that's what you're referring to, but all a gear indicator does is show what gear you are in

Cool. For some reason I got it in my head we had TR in the first three gears.
I believe, and trust someone will correct me if I'm wrong, that the ecu limits the revs electronically in the first couple of gears, not thru timing retardation.

Electronics guys is that right?
From everything posted on the site, that is the case Ferret. Don Guhl can remove or if desired, move the limits. And of course, remove the speed limiter.
