I'm a huge fan of dielectric grease in electrical connections.
I live right next to the Atlantic Ocean and salt air is constant, but I've never had an electrical problem or a buildup of corrosion.

It sounds like this should be part of my maintenance schedule.

Dielectric grease is marvelous stuff. Because of the humidity and frequent temperature variances here, corrosion is a problem on unprotected electrical connections. I keep it on hand and use it where needed.
