Hi guys
I've been trying to find a way to side mount a license plate bracket. Haven't seen any relevant threads in the forum. Anyone have a solution for this? I already have the samurider fender eliminator installed. I hate how my license plate looks on it.
I have not seen anyone do this on this forum yet. I think you are looking at a custom part or looking for a universal part that can be modified to work.
It could look cool on the CB. Having the plate mounted in any other position than horizontal is illegal in lots of states and provinces. I don't think many police would care, but you never know. ..

I just checked my state (Idaho) Only issue is bottom of plate must be 12 inches above ground and no lighting requirement. I might get one and mount it to lower shock bolt.
Here are 3 pages of mounts

I used one on my '75 CB550 cafe bike a few years ago. It was a pretty cool look at the time, that stood out as different from the crowd. You see it a lot more often these days on cafe racers, but putting one on a CB1100 would certainly stand out! Let us know how it turns out -
