So I bought a member's take-off Ryujin Hand-Bent Full Exhaust on eBay and am looking into how I plan on mapping it. I plan on running it without the baffle, and figure I will need at least a bit of a re-tune to get me along until I eventually take it in for a real dyno session.

There are only two maps on the Power Commander website (stock and Yoshimura slip-on muffler). I'm running the map for the stock bike right now, and was thinking I would switch to the Yosh slip-on map as a stop gap, but then I noticed the following.

The map for the slip-on exhaust is massively leaned out (red squares) compared to PCV map for a stock bike, which fattens most of the rev range (green squares).

I just can't figure out how with better breathing you would want less fuel? I figured the slip-on map would at least get me in the direction of fattening things up a bit, but I guess I'd just be better off sticking with the stock map until I can get one made? Or is there actually a reason why you would want less fuel with a better breathing exhaust?

Just saw this post, you want to run the stock map with full exhaust. I had that map programed into my ECU when I had my bike flashed and my A/F ratio where almost spot on.(touch rich on top) I would have a tuner set it up when you have the chance.

I did what CHIP 57 suggested above (thanks BTW) and just ended up running the stock map. It seems to be okay. I've done about 250kms so far and with the baffle in, there aren't any lean pops, hesitations, or excess heat. Good enough to make it obvious I'm not going to burn a piston or overheat the thing just in casual riding (which was really my only worry).

I will definitely take it to a tuner soon, the one I want to use is in Washington State (Nels at 2wheeldynoworks). It's just a matter of time to get there....

Cool. Back to your original post, though, perhaps the Yoshi exhaust is actually more restrictive than the stock? That's the only explanation I can think of. But then, I don't know much

That's the only thing I can think of too.

If you get any off throttle popping do the par mod, takes 5 minutes.

UPS just dropped of my new-to-me PCV, so we'll just see what we see. I'm running stock, so there shouldn't be any surprises. Fingers crossed!

That map with the Yoshi Can is is off a 2014 standard. A member went out to Vegas and had his bike mapped by Power Commander. Honda changed the A/F ratio for the 2014 model ( different ECU #'s) and explains why where seeing a completely different map.

You will love it. Even stock this was probably my most value added mod to the bike. Makes it so much more rideable, with negligible loss in fuel mileage.
