Since an un-scheduled dismount in November I have a need to rebuild my forks with new stanchions thanks to a myopic cager. Now I have my bike back in the garage and parts on order I need to know how much fork oil to add, or if it is measured to a level what that level should be. I ride a CB1100A, 2013 UK model, all standard ATM. If level, is that measured with fork fully stretched out to it's longest? Oil grade advice also appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I'm sure someone that has messed with their forks will chime in eventually (the board is kinda slow this time of year). I can only quote from the service manual for a 2013 US model. Forks should be the same though.

Recommended Fork Fluid: Pro Honda Suspension Fluid SS-8 (10W) or equivalent.

Fork Fluid Capacity: 495+- 2.5 cm3 (16.7 +- 0.08 US oz, 17.4 +- 0.09 Imp oz.

Pour in the above amount, then slowly pump the fork pipe several times to remove the trapped air.

Slowly compress the fork pipe fully and measure the oil level from the top of the fork pipe. (In other words, from the oil level to the top of the tube). It should be 117mm or 4.6 inches.

And according to the picture in the manual, apparently you have to pour it in using a special beaker using your transparent hand LOL.
This is from the 2013/14 Honda service manual.
