This might be a stupid question :
Is it possible to get the oil out of the forks with a vacuum brake bleeder and a thin tube or thin pipe ?
I use my air compressor to change/bleed my brakes and was thinking that I would be able to do the same with my forks without having to take them of the bike.
I am not lazy but always look for easier/quicker ways to do things.
Good question, but do not know answer.

Even if you could draw a strong vacuum, I am skeptical that all the oil could be drawn through the dampening ports/orifices.

Sure miss drain screws on forks!
My understanding with cartridge type forks, is they have to be turned upside down, and then pumped to get all the oil out.
Every manufacturer seems to be eliminating the drain screws; the only bikes I have with them are the old ones (1994 and 1995).

But it's not such a big deal to pull the fork tubes and do it right. I find it to be a good way to spend a winter day when I can't ride anyway . . . (those who live in nicer climates will have to find a better excuse).
Has it done someone yet and at which miles/km?

I prefer drain screws, kardan, hydraulic valves....
all the nice stuff, the CB lacks.

But I nevertheless love my CB.
You can't sometimes always get what you want....
