Very nice, Havasu, but I'm confused... you rode to 1976?
I rode to Carlsbad too! But then I made a left and went inland to fix a water leak at Mom's house. And my ride wasn't as sexy, since you can't carry pipes on a CB. Had to make do with a van.

I am right off Rancho Santa Fe and La Costa Ave. I took RSF to Melrose. Then Melrose to Alga. Then Alga to Poinsettia. Poinsettia dead ends into Carlsbad State Beach. That is were the video was shot. Good Ride but my favorite is riding Elfin Forrest Rd. to Harmony Grove. So beautiful too.
76 to Pala, up and down Palomar, continue to Julian and then Banner Grade, then a long sojourn down S-2 to I-8, then I-5, and home. That’d be my morning loop.
