Hi all CB owners.
I have been criticized by my rider group about the quality of Head light at either high or Low beam.
I want to change the stock Bulb with a LED one and am looking for a good easy install replacement.
There are many good one with or without fans with different Lumens , cool or white.
I have also search the forums about the lights and Bulbs in here and have some better idea than before .
Is there any specific best bulb that forum recommends., I am not worried to pay more and get one for do it all purpose, for good illumination and also for good protection (being visible for other drivers)
I am also going to order a set of fog lamps for my low SW-Motech bars. Clear water recommends Darla.
it is pricy thou.also I prefer some thing functional for both purpose as I have read some of the members bought from other vendors and not Happy with the illumination( I am not going to disclose the name )
I really appreciate any input from the forum members and their recommendations either from self experience or from knowledge in this field.
My bike is superior at any field other than offroading compared to my rider group bikes and I prefer to keep it the same way. a light bulb that can be easily replaced and with minimum time investment, and a good set of fog /axillary light and bars.
Please let me know.
Thank you ride safe/Ride longBiker
I can only say that cool light (blueish) blinds more than warmer colors, but do not illuminate any better. I'd avoid them.
If you’re riding at night and you’re happy with the light cast by the standard H4 bulb, I’d respectfully suggest you ignore the criticism of your riding group. What exactly is their problem with it?

That said, have a read through this thread http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=13611
Thank you both for the input, Cormanus I believe I need something brighter than what I currently have. and also I realize that the R3 is a difficult to fit in the bucket. for my V strom I used the one that was suggested and tested by forum members and also installation was easier after reading forum members experiences, did you need to change yours or you are using your stock one?
Thank you
Ride safe
I'm still using the stock H4 as it seems adequate for my purposes.
I just ordered the Native H4 from ADVMONSTER and should get it this week , the H4 R3 was too difficult to get into head light bucket.

Yes I was reading your post about having difficulty installing the R3 in your bucket, and you put in to your car.
Thank you for your response.Biker

Based on your experience and reviews I did the same.
