Well, I had my oil leak fixed under warranty and got the 8000 mile service completed a bit early (7100 miles) to save some $$. There was a crease on the rubber gasket at the top of the arc.

The good news is my valves were all still dead-on spec so the bill wasn't nearly as high as it could have been. I put about 70 miles on the bike yesterday in 70F+ weather. Today, east TX is at freezing and rainy. WTH? Looks like a few more days before the weather improves.
Good news that you got your leak fixed and the valves were all in spec
This has been a wonderful thread to follow. We are truly brothers and sisters regardless of what part of this planet we live. Salute everyone!Beer

Looks like some at the valve cover gasket, but rest of seepage looks like it's coming out of pkaces where there are no natural gaps, unless the wind is messing with it. Were the valve clearances checked recently?

I do agree, warranty. Return to dealer.

Are you sure one of your friends isn't messing with you?

This thread was actually very interesting to review. There was good collaboration, sharing of decent images of the issue, and issue-in-progress to solution.

Ferret's last remark I found striking, insightful, and not to underestimate. Sometimes things are easily explained as a freak situation or a sorry practical joke. However, what can ensue is sometimes stressful for the wrong reason.
