Yes, this is the one and I was the member considering it. Not anymore. Asked the seller to send a short video of the bike running/idling and never heard back from him. Too many red flags on this one. At this point I will likely be buying from one of the forum members here in the spring who have bikes for sale.

Great! If we keep this post up, hopefully it will help another potential buyer avoid a problematic bike.
Someone has an eagle eye to catch that speedo. Great spy!
Replacing the instrument cluster is not cheap (if you go OEM); that might explain the lower price.
I'll suggest that posting bikes for sale around the world from non-members is a public service to our community (and non-members that lurk, who may end up joining - or maybe non-members can't see Classifieds). But whether it continues depends upon what the admin, moderators & members thing the focus and mission of the forum should be.
And we are discussing it. No decisions yet.
Speaking only for myself, I'm embarrassed it didn't occur to me to check the [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/announcements.php?aid=1]the rules for posting in this section.
Had I done so without being reminded of them, I'd have read point four which says:
Members are only to post their own items for sale or trade, not items belonging to other members or individuals who aren't members of this forum.
In future please post only items for sale that comply with this rule.
Either The ferret or I will delete this thread in a couple of days when those interested in the discussion have had a chance to read this post.

This is how I feel as well.

You and Mr. Ferret are great moderators. Thank you for your service.
... yeah, great job Mods keeping with the program.

Thank you, gentlemen. It’s a tough gig moderating such an unruly mob, but someone has to do it. Can’t speak for the Ferret, but I find, if I take my medication, I get through the days.

Remember to spread 'em throughout the day Cormanus - not all at once.
