... is a short, easy watch.

Good explanation.

I’m sure cost is a factor but based on the video it’s hard to understand why a manufacturer would use anything except stainless steel spokes.
Thanks GO. I think I know what happened on my bicycle now. And why they put better (read stainless) spokes on it.
Thanks GO.

Intuition tells us that stainless steel should be better than chromed mild steel. It's more resistant to corrosion, and to anyone who's tried cutting stainless, it's a darned sight harder too!

Thank you for that great video GO ! I also love the looks of stainless steel , never mind the cleaning.
thx man, as we speak, I shard this link to the new owner so he is informed as well

good info!
I'm pretty sure that the original Honda spokes are stainless. Could anyone who has a 2017 care to put a magnet to them to verify. Some stainless alloys will have a mild magnetic attraction.
Hard to say exactly but first thing strikes me is how dark/ rusty they look. I clean mine with metal cleaner and wire wool- painstaking but worthwhile. It’s good to give a ‘ping’ test as well from time to time. This guy may have put serious miles on there but hey it’s a beautiful bike and why would you not look after it?
