Last year I bought a H4 LED replacement from a respectable company in Florida. I bought the H4 R4 but when I could not get it into the bucket I put it in my wife's CRV. For my 2013 and 2014 I than bought the H4 Native from the same company.
Today I took my 2014 on the BRP and when I came into the first long and "bendy " tunnel I realized that BOTH the low and high beam were not working , I nearly soiled my clean pants !
I retuned home and the fuse for the head light was burned out , put an other one in and as soon as I switch the bike on that fuse went as well.
When I put the original H 4 back in everything was ok.
I put the LED in at the end of December 2018 and it had only 1695 miles on the bulb.
Tomorrow I will remove the LED from my 2013 and will contact the seller.
BE WARNED THAT SUDDENLY YOU COULD LOSE BOTH BEAMS AT THE SAME TIME WITH THE H4 NATIVE LED REPLACEMENT BULB.
For those interested the company was ADVMONSTER, this is a very respectable seller and I will send them the bulb which smells a little burned.

Maybe the LED driver is damaged, or an associated capacitor in the driver circuitry. Nevertheless, the module is compromised.

Houtman thanks for the heads up, just to clarify you put the original halogen lamp back into your "13.

The adv website now lists the native h4 as "superceded" , i wonder if they had more complaints or whether they just sourced another product?

Like the part where they state; "30 times more reliable than halogen" in the picture text! it's on the website so it must be true.............

Very good point about losing all your headlight options in the case of the led controller failing.
And by the way all this stuff comes direct from china and you would think the company would stand by their product judging by the generous markup.

I will NEVER again put a replacement LED bulb in my 2013 and 2014 , it is just too risky. I have had normal H4 bulbs last for 10 years or more.

Guess I won't be in any rush either.

I do not ride at night anymore but we have so many tunnels on the BRP that safety is an issue when suddenly you have no low AND high beams .
I emailed the company , they emailed back and I will send back the bulb for them to see what went wrong.

OEM, OEM...is the answer

That is a pretty good response from them. I reckon they will honour some sort of warranty?

The reason I tried the LED bulb in my 2013 and 2014 is to get a better light and a LONGER lasting bulb , not really for less draw on the batterie .

After sending the bad Native LED back to ADVMONSTER I received a new one yesterday but no explanation why the other one went bad.
I will not use the LED H4 replacements in my 2013 and 2014 as it is too risky in riding in the many tunnels on the BRP.
When I put the Phillips upgraded H4 back in I was surprised how good that light is , not as intense as a LED but more wide spread as the lens was made for a H4 and not an LED.
