On my Moto Guzzi Griso the dash display can give the error code # (if there is any) after the service code (which is not a secret) is entered. I now realise that this is not as easy for the CB1100.
Also, for Moto Guzzis there exists a diagnostic software program called "Guzzidiag". You can connect your laptop runnning Guzzidiag to the bike and you can then diagnose (and change) more than you ever wanted. A very handy piece of software. Is there an equivalent sofware for Hondas?
Hey ... that sounds pretty awesome.
Is the connection physical or wireless?
It is a physical connection. One of these cables:

installed a 330 ohm resistor

GO: Hang in there... Something new is already in the works. On this specific matter: adding a BT interface should not be a problem. The problem would be figuring out the protocol used by Honda. Will take a look... (Also, the electronics would be about 10% of the job, the rest being making the software for Android/iOS, and keeping it up to date so that it won't get thrown out of the app store. Talking about considerable amount of time & money...)

Man. That is just incredibly sweet.
Makes me want to hack the CB1100. Csory? Wad you think?
