I run on Semi Synthetic 15w-50 Petronas F700 or Shell Advance 10w-40. But I change every 2500km-3000km. Fully Synthetic at my place are sold almost double the price of semi synthetic. So I thought I might as well change more frequently by using Semi instead of changing oil at 5000km-6000km while using Fully synthetic. Same cost, only more time used for servicing.
Just did an oil change...Motul 5100 10W40 full synth. with Honda OEM filter...Bloody expensive over AU$100 for the 2...and only motorcycle shops in South Australia (Australia?) are alowed to sell Motul 4 stroke motorcycle oil which gives them licence to jack the price up...
Penrite Oil from Supercheap Auto is reasonably priced or Honda dealers sell a kit with oil, filter and washer for $80. Example https://www.brisbanemotorcycles.com.au/h...ge-kit-hp4

For the same oil, just bought, we are C$17 cheaper, OEM filter C$16 and dolar ratio is almost 1:1, plus I got C$16 off for the set above (automotive and loyal customer).
The US folks have even better price????
I just paid $10.50 for a Honda filter (Revzilla) and $27 for a gallon of Pro Honda GN4 10W-30 (Amazon). Now all I need is a warm day so I can change it.
Canadian Amazon wants C$26.xx + shipping = sick......
Peter , as I am remodeling my basement for Inhousebob perhaps you might want to move to the USA as well. The basement is big enough and you can have your own bedroom . Just think of all the money you save on parts for your CB 1100 ! Hopefully you like beer and we can restart some of the local breweries. Just a thought ….

Thank you John for your invitation...time will show, but I just have a delicate question/request: will I have a separate entrance, you know, just in case, if I have late time visitors, and a flashlight, please....Blush
In return, I can diagnose first and fix it right all your motorized vehicles, including electrical Dodgy
