Basically any time I go over a harsh bump, drop down out of my driveway, etc., there is a pretty loud rattling noise coming from the front portion of the bike.

At first I thought it may have been my tool kit (I have a few extra things in there) above the battery, but the problem persists when riding without it. It could be coming from the dash, but it's hard to isolate when you're at speed with a helmet on, and it does seem to be from somewhere lower.

I can't seem to replicate the noise by banging on anything (gauges, horns, headlight, oil cooler, etc.).

Anyone had this issue? Is this just part of the gauges being soft-mounted?

As I recently turned 64, I thought the occasional rattle I heard going over bumps was just, me>>>>>>>>>>>>>Thumbs Up

Did a little cleaning up in the headlight housing, the problem is improved I think, but certainly still present. Any ideas what else it could be? Anything on the bike that I grab seems to be bolted on tight . . .
It's not your taillight, is it?
Well I re-opened the headlight and literally stuffed it with mini bubble-wrap.

In between every set of wires as well as in between those wires and the housing itself.

That seems to have taken care of it. Very odd, anyone who's opened the headlight can attest that things seem pretty well secured in there from the factory, and yet they need more padding!

Yeah, things bounce around in there. It is interesting, though, how much they are able to hind in that little space.
